About me
With a grandmother that was a Beauty Counselor, Tonya Mann, developed a love for all things pretty at a very young age. Her career path was likely set when she turned to a nightly ritual of changing her nail color to go with her outfit in high school and confidently declared to her mother at a Clinique counter, “You can never put a price on taking care of your skin.” She still believes that by the way!

Despite all of the signs, she got her degree in Psychology and worked for the first half of her career as a change management and communication consultant. While it wasn’t the glitz and glam career she craved, her bosses knew how to tap her inner Anna Wintour, telling her to pretend she was conducting a hard-hitting interview for Vogue versus talking to executives about health care benefits. In 2003 she left the world of consulting behind to take on the position of Beauty Editor and finally found her niche – helping to launch new beauty brands, giving a voice to color and skincare, and literally playing with products every day.

As an accomplished writer and makeup artist trained at the prestigious Fred Segal Beauty, Tonya’s work has appeared on international beauty sites and in magazines including In Style, Allure, and Real Simple, as well as her own beauty blog. She is now bringing her life’s lessons about all things beauty to Macy’s, dishing on the latest must-have products, sharing advice, and answering your biggest beauty questions.
