Hello everyone--I haven't had a late payment to ANYONE since 1987. Seriously, 1987. And I ALWAYS pay off my Macy's card every month. Well, last month, I apparently missed a bill. And a day ago, before even receiving another statement, I received a call from Macy's collection department. The man on the line was rude and treated me like a criminal. RIDICULOUS. I've just paid my balance, as usual, and I am going to cancel my credit card and shop elsewhere. I think everyone Macy's treats like this should do the same. I have EXCELLENT credit. If Macy's had bothered looking at my hisrtory with my Macy's card, I would not have received the treatment I did. Or would I? Either way, I'm not interested in doing business with companies that mistreat their best customers.
I've had the same problem. Recently sent this message to customer service:
Your credit collections agency is RUDE and INSULTING!! They are legitimate BULLIES who call starting at 8 AM on the DOT and HARASS my family SOMETIMES TEN TIMES A DAY!!!! I've asked REPEATEDLY to be put on your "do not call" list...to no avail. The people that work for you have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE values AT ALL. Look at my account and see what a loyal, spendy customer I've been over the years, making hundreds of dollars in payments every month, yet I miss one payment (I was in a car accident - hit by a semi-truck, google it, devastating...) and am harassed over and over and over and over and over and over...only to have my credit card shut off when I try and make a purchase???!!?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????? YOU HAVE LOST A VALUABLE CUSTOMER. I will pay off my credit card by the end of this week and close my account. ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR HORRIBLE, RUDE, INTOLERABLE collection department. PS - If you google the numbers of your collection agency starting with area code 513, you'll see A TON OF COMPLAINTS. Wake up, Macy's. You officially suck.
