As days at the beach are beginning to come to a close and nights start to get longer and longer, it can only mean one thing: Fall is coming! But with the changing of the leaves also means it’s time to prep your home for the days ahead. Here, 4 ways to get your abode Autumn ready...

Get Cozy

Reflect the colors of the season inside your home as well as out. The best place to start? Curtains! A quick switch of your window treatment can easily transform the look of any room. I love these by Pella. Not only do they come in a variety of Fall colors but they’re also energy-efficient – so you can keep warm inside & save money too!

Lighten up

As it gets darker earlier, keep your house safe (and pretty!) with outdoor lighting. Set up small lanterns next to the sidewalk leading up to the entrance and install lights around your doors and garage. Try these glass and bronze lanterns  – they’re cute and bright!

Walk on Sunshine

One of the worst things about the colder months is waking up in the morning, only to step onto a freezing cold wood floor! Invest in a chic plush rug in a great color – like red! – to add dimension to your décor and keep your feet warm!

Take cover

Here at the Style Hound, we love enjoying a good book in front of a roaring fireplace. But sometimes, the warmth of the fire just isn’t enough. This faux fur heated throw will keep you beyond toasty with it’s 3 temp settings – plus it’ll look great tossed on the back of your couch while not in use.

I love the blanket and the lighting. Those lights would look so cute in front of my house. The blanket would be nice on cold fall nights

I really love the energy efficient cutains! Need to get me some.  Not a big fan of heating blankets though.
