When searching out a theme for this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Macy’s Events team didn’t have to look very far: the new children’s book Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy’s Parade, illustrated by award-winning artist Melissa Sweet, was a clear choice!

In NYC this weekend for her book signing at Macy’s Herald Square, I caught up with Sweet to discuss partnering with Macy’s, her success and her inspiration for the book -- legendary puppeteer, Tony Sarg.
