Watching the floats, balloons, clowns and cheerleaders march down the streets of NYC every year on Thanksgiving morning is as much a part of the holiday as football, family and feasting. But this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® lineup is slated to be bigger and better than ever before...

You may have heard about the new balloons, but what about all of the other excitement? Performers will include pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne, newcomers Cobra Starship and the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige. And, of course, there’s no parade without marching bands! This year, some of the country’s best musicians  –  from Hawaii to Alabama  – will play their way to Herald Square. And last, but not least, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to officially kick-off the Christmas season!

What parts of the parade are you most excited to see?  Check out the line-up and let us know!  Don’t miss the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® live in New York City or on NBC 9am-Noon, Thursday, November 24th!

Like they care about Thanksgiving. This is another chance to sell stuff.

SAD, so SAD!  Another tradition ruined.  After several years of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on television to see the balloons, floats, listen to the bands and enjoy the holiday spirit, we have given up on watching the parade.

After nearly an HOUR of watching, NBC has shown several excerpts from musicals, talked to a few people from broadway, and shown a total of ZERO floats, zero balloons, zeros bands.

NBC should be ashamed of themselves for selling out to crass commercialism to show broadway plays RATHER than the reason for the parade, to celebrate thanksgiving!

This is not a dig a Macys, rather a statement of frustration for NBC doing such a miserable job of showing one of the finest traditions in the country!

Curious why NBC should give us hours of broadway vs ANY coverage of the parade...
