If you and your friends are like us, then you were probably hooked on PBS’ hit show Downton Abbey. Now that the season 2 finale has come and gone, relive each and every dramatic moment with your best mates by hosting a marathon viewing party! Here, a handful of tips to help you pull-off a smashing gathering without breaking the bank.

While you may not have as many rooms as they’ve got at Downton, work with what you have! Turn your living room into a plush sitting gallery with rich leather furnishings worthy of even the “Crawley” name.

There’s nothing more British than tea time (yes, even for the gents) so be sure to have the supplies necessary for a spot of tea. You’ll need a great kettle, and of course fancy-schmancy teaware. Plus, wow your guests with tasty bites fit for a Lord! Opt for cucumber sandwiches (no crusts!) atop an intricate silver tray for the perfect touch of elegance.

If you’d rather lounge with something a little bit stronger than a cup of English Breakfast, try serving up vintage scotch or brandy with the perfect barware. Think you need a butler to be aristocratic? Think again – all that’s really required is the right equipment...just remember to serve from a crystal decanter and make it sparkle and shine with a dazzling bottle stopper.

I love the series and cant wait for the next season. Having a dowton abbey party with some of the period similar pieces from Macy's sounds like even more fun

I will have a Downton Abbey veiwing party!  I will serve tea and finger sandwiches (no crusts of course!), Cheese Straws (per Daisy) and cake fed with brandy!!!

I have both DVD's and have gotten several of my friends and family hooked on the series.  I can't wait for the third to begin.  Maggie Smith is a GEM and has all the best lines.
