Kids out of school, a bit of vacay time and baby, it’s cold outside! So, what to do? The obvious answer: Travel! While I love to dash off to places with sunshine and waves, no matter where you’re headed – be it a Florida beach, the south of France, or simply a neighboring town for a little spa-related R & R – there are a few things every gal should have when globetrotting. When shopping for any new addition to your wardrobe, it always comes down to fitand fabric. These two are BFF’s, and they need to stay together. In my years of fashion exploration and intensive research (read: shopping! Hah!) I’ve discovered a few tried-and-true fabrics that gorgeously flatter a figure – particularly a curvaceous one.

Being a plus size teen, I remember it was always a challenge finding a cool first-day-back outfit that I knew no one else would be wearing, due to the lack of stylish choices in my size.
