No trip to New York City is complete with out a stop at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater! For nearly 80 years, it has served as the launching pad for some of our nation’s most popular entertainers – from James Brown and Billie Holiday to Ella Fitzgerald and The Jackson Five. Still widely recognized as “the soul of American culture”, it’s a showplace dedicated to the dreamer in us all. Grab your dancing shoes and your singing voice, hop the uptown train, and let’s take a ride to the place “where stars are born and legends are made”. In the hottest night-out gear around, of course. 

The Washington Monument… late-night jazz joints… hiking paths along the Potomac… you, guessed it, road trippers, we’re in Washington D.C.!  Our cross-country adventure is in full effect and we’re kicking off our visit to the Nation’s Capital in true American style (a.k.a. red, white and blue). Liberty, justice and fashion for all! 

Well, we made it... last night was the Fashion Star finale and ALL bets were off! As far as I was concerned, going into the competition, there were NO front-runners. Each designer had an equal shot at being our Fashion Star!

Just one week away from the Fashion Star finale!  This journey has been unbelievable and so exciting. The designers have come so far and this is literally their final chance to show us they deserve to be our Fashion Star. Go big or go home — literally!

So, the teaser last week was that we were going to experience A Night on the Town!  I was all ready for a great night full of amazing designs — and I am happy to report that the designers exceeded my expectations. They definitely sent some of the best looks of the season down the runway last night…
