So, how does one get “the moves like Jagger”? Being born into the fam probably helps! To test my theory, I caught up Georgia May Jagger, the superstar daughter of Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall and the new face of Material Girl, to get the deets on “Jaggernes”! Here, GMJ dishes on everything from modeling to Facebook vs. Twitter (we totally disagree on this one!)
TH: What do you like best about modeling?
GMJ: Travelling to so many different places and getting to work with amazing photographers. And getting my hair and makeup done by incredible stylists!
TH: What’s your typical day like on the job?
GMJ: I wake up quite early, grab breakfast and coffee. I get my hair and makeup done. Then I start shooting, have lunch, chat with everyone, then I continue shooting more. It’s a longer day than you think!
TH: Did your Mom give you any great tips about the biz?
GMJ: Yes! She always says, “never be late and always be nice to everyone”.
TH: How did it feel to be named the face of Material Girl?
GMJ: It was a huge honor! I’m really excited and happy to be involved with the line.
TH: You got a sneak peek of the Fall Material Girl collection...what were your #1 looks?
GMJ: I love the polka dot dress and the biker boots. I also love the bomber jacket.
TH: Material Girl is all about being the ultimate VIP. What makes you feel most like an “it girl”?
GMJ: Not standing in lines!
TH: You spent a lot of time backstage growing up. What are some of your best memories?
GMJ: There are so many! I used to ride around backstage on my micro scooter. I would love talking to Lisa Fischer, the Stones’ backup singer. And sometimes, I would get my makeup done and I would ask Caroline the makeup artist to paint my face like a cat!
TH: Are you more of a backstage or center stage kind of girl?
GMJ: Backstage for sure!
TH: Do you ever get starstruck? What about when you met Madonna?
GMJ: All the time! It was amazing to meet Madonna; she’s such an icon.
GMJ: I do! I try to spend as much time in London as I can but I do love to travel also.
TH: Who are some of your fave musicians?
GMJ: I love Jimi Hendrix and Marc Bolan. Plus, Patti Smith and Debbie Harry.
TH: What iPhone apps you can’t live without?
GMJ: Tetris & Star Walk!
