It’s a brand new year and with it comes a fresh round of resolutions that we swear we’re sticking to this year. While our five suggestions for a better 2012 below may seem sartorially-focused at first, what they’re really about is embracing and appreciating our (and your) true selveswith a little fashion touch, of course. Here goes!

Resolution #1: Stay comfortable

That’s right, we’re going to be confident, move freely and look amazing while doing it. That’s why we’re totally feeling this casual Denim & Supply sweater tunic dress and this BCBGeneration LBD. Both are sexy, modern, and most importantly – both feel amazing on.

Resolution #2: Take risks

Resolution number one aside, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t venture outside our comfort zones once in a while. Trying out something new is fun, exciting and good for the soul. And remember, change need not be big. Switching up your customary style is as easy as slipping on a small, bold accessory like this rose gold cocktail ring. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, put your wool Winter coat aside for the day and, instead, slip into a faux fur cropped coat. Go wild!

Resolution #3:

Know thyself

Brace yourself. It might hurt to hear this, but we are going to tell you anyway: Just because something is a trend and every magazine says it’s a “must-have” does not necessarily mean that that trend is right for you. We advise sticking to basics that you know look good and then adding in trendy accents accordingly. As a general rule, boot-cut jeans flatter pretty much every body as does the classic, belted, fit & flare dress. Different cuts may come and go, but the ones that stick around are most likely here for a very good reason.

Resolution #4: Shape up

Now we’ve already highlighted some great new options for what to wear to the gym, but let’s revisit this topic for just a moment, shall we? Many say that a cute exercise outfit helps motivate them to actually hit the treadmill. So go online and order that adorable pink hoodie or snag multiple pairs of those capris. Whatever it takes to feel (and look) good while keeping fit, we’re all for it!

image.3.jpgResolution #5: Brighten up!

We hear it alllll the time: “When in doubt, wear black”. Sure, it’s flattering, easy and versatile but piggybacking on resolution #2, why not show your true spirit and switch it up once in a while with some bold, candy-colored hues? From purple skinnies to cherry red accessories, a touch of color can be super chic and downright uplifting!

I was very disappointed with Macys as i originally ordered 13 items to finish my christmas shopping during the week of cyber monday . My daughter ordered and a friend of mine ordered after me. they recieved their orders I only recived 3 of the original order. the stickers with the item were ripped off my charge card was charged and after 3 hours on a phone and numerous calls back I finally got the charge offf my credit card. It was frustrating and I will hesitate to shop the internet with Macys. I did have a store rep who called and asked me to call back to no avail they thought I was worker being called into work. I finally finished my shopping the week of christmas.
