The entire month of September has literally flown by! It's been packed with fashion, beauty, celebrities, and so many events that my makeup bag has taken up permanent residence in my office. Because of that, I had a mini panic attack this morning when I couldn't find my Diorshow Brow Styler. Don't worry, I have plenty of back-ups at home, but it made me realize that I've waited entirely too long to share the rest of my Dior beauty favorites with you.
Before I jump right in, I need to make a confession. Pre-Ricky Wilson, I thought Dior was a little too fabulous for me, and I suppose I was intimidated. I realize that's completely ridiculous, but I'm also guessing you may know exactly what I mean. I'd just never taken the time to explore this amazing brand. What I absolutely love is that every product has something special about it that's either rooted in the brand's history or offers a new technology on the market. After playing with many of these products, I'm honestly a little sad that I didn't discover the world of Dior beauty sooner. Now that I'm sharing it with you, hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did to adore Dior.
Diorshow Brow Styler - In a word, obsessed! Since this is the product that put my morning beauty routine into a tailspin, it's only fitting that I start here. I've always been a shadow and brow brush kind of girl, but not anymore. I'm totally obsessed with this brow pencil and really can't imagine why I'd need to use anything else. The best part about this automatic pencil is the fact that it's a universally flattering shade, so there's no guesswork in trying to figure out your proper brow color. The shade you get is based on how much pressure you use when applying it. The opposite end has a brow brush to make sure every last hair is in place.
5 Couleurs Lift Eyeshadow - To me, this eye shadow compact is classic Dior. At first glance it may seem like an ordinary compact, but if you were to look closer you'd find that it's actually quite amazing and unique. For starters, it includes a smoothing primer that's said to include "40 times more skincare ingredients than a classic eye shadow," three gorgeous colors to shade and highlight, and a fourth color to line and fill your brows. If that's not enough for you, the colors are classic, beautiful, and stayed in place all day.
Addict Lip Polish - Another new favorite and another reason for panic this morning. I love this gloss for several reasons. First, the shades have a milky look to them, so the color payoff is creamy and gorgeous. It's not too bright, too sheer, or too shiny like a lot of glosses I've tried. And rather than a typcial doe-foot or brush applicator, this lip polish has a rolling applicator tip that glides on, leaving perfectly smooth, kissable color with the slightest hint of vanilla.
Diorskin Natural Glow Sculpting Powder - This is a product I probably never would have picked up, but Ricky used it as my blush and it looked amazing. He said it's one of his "go-to" products for achieving a very natural flush of color. It comes with three shades to contour and highlight your features, but I'd recommend swirling them all together with a fluffy blush or bronzer brush and then dusting your cheeks, nose, and collarbone for a luminous touch of color.
Rouge Dior Lip Colour - The packaging alone is luxurious - sleek navy with Dior's iconic canework pattern that was inspired by Louis XVI chairs from Mr. Dior's childhood. The lipstick inside is just as impressive with rich, brilliant color and a gorgeous long-wearing formula.
