Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to jog my memory about a great product. Luckily another stylish subway traveler recently reminded me about Benefit Cosmetics Benetint.
As she reached into her purse and pulled out the liquid lip & cheek stain, not only was I watching, but it seemed like every woman on that train was fascinated by what she was doing. Granted the bottle and brush do slightly resemble nail polish, so I’m sure some onlookers were curious when she applied it to her lips, but no one said a word. Not to worry because 1) it’s nothing like nail polish and 2) I’m here to let you in on her fab beauty secret.
Benetint is a multi-purpose classic that's equally lovely whether worn on your cheeks or lips. It's been around forever and creates a beautiful stained effect that resembles the old trick of applying strawberry Jell-O or a fresh cherry to your lips. The bonus is that applying Benetint will never leave you feeling hungry! I love the idea of using this product for summer too because it's easy to apply and feels so lightweight on your skin.
And as fate would have it, right after my Benetint encounter I found out that a brand new beauty has been added to the lineup – Cha Cha Tint! I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet, but the gorgeous coral shade is one of the “it” colors for spring and summer. I’m sure if it’s as fabulous as Benetint I’ll have to make more room in my bag so that Cha Cha Tint can make its own subway debut. I’ll keep you posted!
