From Nicole Richie to the New York Knicks own Tyson Chandler, celebs were talking all-things fragrance at the 40th Anniversary FiFi Awards. Despite the rain, everyone was dressed to perfection, taking extra care to add that final must-have accessory - a signature scent.
Who: Phillipe Cousteau, explorer, social entrepreneur, and grandson of the legendary Jacques Cousteau escorted the Fragrance Foundation Board Chair, Jill Belasco, on the red carpet.
Scent Notes: Phillipe shared that he likes a woman who carries her fragrance with confidence and always remembers his mother's perfume - Opium. For the FiFis, he choose The Art of Shaving Sandalwood scent, while Jill wore Boyfriend by Kate Walsh.
Who: Actress and legendary model Carol Alt
Scent Notes: Alt worked the red carpet like a runway in her custom-designed crimson gown and heels. She was wearing Shiseido for the FiFis but admitted that Obsession is her all-time favorite fragrance.
Who: New York Knicks Center and 2012 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler and this beautiful wife Kimberly.
Scent Notes: With or without cologne, 7'4" Tyson Chandler is going to leave a lasting impression everywhere he goes. He talked about being a big fan of fragrance and admitted to going a little overboard on the cologne when he was younger, saying, "I wore Cool Water back in the day, and I really loaded it on. You could probably smell me coming a block away."
Who: It-girl and Super Model Jessica Stam
Scent Notes: Stam couldn't wait to tell us about her complete obsession with Prada Candy (available in select Macy's Stores), and her boyfriend was wearing Prada as well.
Who: Any CSI fan could tell you! Actor Kevin Navayne is best known for his role as Detective Ray Jackson on CSI:NY.
Scent Notes: Smelling great in Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Kevin was in agreement with most of the celebs on the carpet that fragrance has the ability to give you confidence.
Who: The gorgeous Aerin Lauder, Style and Image Director for Estee Lauder.
Scent Notes: Aerin is known for wearing her signature scent - Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia.
Who: One of my personal faves, fashion designer, author, and TV personality - Nicole Richie.
Scent Notes: Flying in from Australia just for the event, Nicole paired her own fragrance (set to launch this fall) with a gorge Pucci Dress. The new scent was described by one of my fellow reporters as, "Soft and edgy, just like Nicole."
